The station is located at an altitude of 1525 m.a.s.l. on a west-facing slope. It is a forest dominated by firs (Abies alba) and some red pine (Pinus sylvestris), but surrounded by a wide variety of deciduous trees such as beech (Fagus sylvatica), hazel (Corylus avellana), mustard (Sorbus aria), ash (Fraxinus excelsior) and the dominant shrub is boxwood (Buxus sempervirens). In the surroundings of the station there are some scattered granite blocks of small and medium size.
