The project includes two protocols for monitoring and studying the edible dormouse using nest box stations. An advanced protocol developed mainly for professionals that allows obtaining highly accurate demographic and biological data on the species, and a basic protocol supported mainly by collaborators, which enables the collection of data on the presence and reproduction of the species throughout its distribution area.
If you want to participate, choose which of the two protocols you want to join and don't hesitate to contact us!
The basic or without manipulation protocol consists of a visual monitoring of the nest boxes, without direct manipulation of the specimens that we locate.
The advanced protocol involves manipulating the edible dormouse specimens to mark them and take biometric measurements for more detailed monitoring.
If you want to collaborate, don't wait any longer and register! Once registered, you will be able to upload data from your monitoring stations. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@dormice.org.
